| The Handicap Committee will sit the night before the first round - As most competitors do not have official handicaps, they shall all put forward their requested handicap for the other competitors to decide on the official starting handicap. Once all handicaps have been agreed by the committee, these handicaps will be used on the first day of the Loons Masters Invitational round. | Maximum Handicap Increase | 8 |
| Every point over 36, handicap reduced by | 1 |

| Stableford Competition Rules | Back to top | |
| Each player receives stableford points depending on the net score after handicap achieved on the hole. If a player has a handicap of 18 then the player would receive one stroke per hole. This means that a score of one over par on the hole would give the player a net par and two stableford points. The following variances can be achieved depending on the score on the hole. The points awarded in relation to the player's net score at each hole is as follows: | ||
| Score | Points |
| Par | 2 |
| One under par (birdie) | 3 |
| Two under par (eagle) | 4 |
| One over par (bogey) | 1 |
| Two over par (double bogey) | 0 |
| The winner of the
stableford event is the player with the highest number of points for eighteen
holes. Handicaps are restricted to 28 for males.
If two or more players have the same score, after all the rounds, then the Loons Masters Invitational is a Draw! |
